Who needs this licence

Duly authorised free-to-air radio operators under the Telecommunications Act, broadcasting to the public on AM or FM, including online simulcasts.

What this licence covers

The Broadcast of musical works and sound recordings in respect of COTT’s Repertoire which COTT owns and/or controls and has the exclusive right to authorise or prohibit the broadcast, public performance, reproduction and communication to the public.

How does the Licence work

The licence fees are calculated as a percentage of the station’s Net Annual Revenue, plus an annual royalty fee for the Mechanical Licence.
