Why do I need a COTT Licence?
A COTT licence gives the user the authorisation to use any work from our extensive repertoire, no other licence in Trinidad and Tobago can give that authorisation.
Accepting a licence from another CMO does not give permission to use works that are properly within COTT’s repertoire. These licences do not cover international music and music belonging to COTT’s local members. Therefore, if you are using music belong to COTT’s repertoire and you don’t have a COTT licence you are committing an infringement!
